ChimeNet Website Wins Award
The ChimeNet website recently won a bronze award in the Business-to-Business website interactive category from the Advertising Club of Connecticut at its 51st Annual Awards Show.
The redesigned website features an interactive “network evaluator” tool that allows visitors to do a quick assessment of their network’s security and connectivity status, and provides a series of case studies on ways that ChimeNet has developed technology solutions for customers that range from a large regional radiology group to a New Haven County municipality.
In addition, the new website features information on ChimeNet’s products and services, and enables ChimeNet customers to access features such as network bandwidth reports, dial-up installation instructions, and virtual private network (VPN) setup instructions.

Waterbury Hospital Wireless Installation
Waterbury Hospital has awarded ChimeNet the contract to design and install a fully redundant Cisco wireless network throughout the nine floors of its Pomeroy Pavilion as well as administrative and I.T. sections of the hospital. Once this extensive project is completed, it will provide secure wireless access for all of Waterbury Hospital's clinical departments and its staff - up to and including bedside data entry.
QUARTER 2 - 2005
Bristol Hospital has recently awarded ChimeNet the contract for the hospital's new fiber network This fiber service will connect the main hospital and two of its remote sites in the Bristol area at lightning fast gigabit speeds. Driven by the bandwidth demands of the hospital's new state-of-the art PACS radiological technology, Bristol Hospital has met this challenge head-on with cost-effective, high-speed fiber connectivity. ChimeNet, in alliance with its fiber vendor, FiberTech, will support and monitor these mission critical fiber circuits on a 24x7x365 basis.
Waterbury Hospital Waterbury Hospital has awarded ChimeNet the contract to perform an extensive site survey as part of the hospital's upcoming wireless initiative. Over the next year all of Waterbury Hospital's clinical departments will become fully wireless. This project is key component in the hospital's two-year upgrade to its Cerner Millennium hospital information system.
Naugatuck, Connecticut
The Borough of Naugatuck, Conn. has recently awarded ChimeNet the contract to provide secure Internet services to the Borough's Town Hall facility. ChimeNet's business class ADSL service not only provides all of the Town Hall users centralized Internet access, but achieves significant cost savings by eliminating the need for individual dial-up accounts and telephone lines for each user's Internet access. ChimeNet's solution will also greatly improve the level of security for the Town Hall's Internet access while increasing its Internet bandwidth speeds.
QUARTER 1 - 2005
William Pitt Real Estate
A prominent Connecticut Real Estate company, consisting of over
23 locations, William Pitt Real Estate has contracted with ChimeNet
to build out and support its Wide Area Network via Business Class
DSL and VPN connectivity solutions. Delivered services include turnkey
engineering support and hardware procurement that provides Web-based
access to their corporate infrastructure. ChimeNet's network architecture
provided dramatic increase in network productivity, speed and efficiency
while achieving substantial monthly savings over traditional Telco
lease services. William Pitt's data network, through ChimeNet solutions
has now become more manageable and scalable in light of future expansion.
Opticare Eye Health Centers
With over 340 employees OptiCare Health Systems, Inc., headquartered
in Waterbury, Connecticut is an integrated eye care services company
focused on providing managed vision and professional eye care products
and services. OptiCare sells retail optical products to consumers
and owns and/or operates integrated eye health centers, professional
optometric practices and surgical facilities in Connecticut where
comprehensive eye care services are provided to patients. Opticare
awarded ChimeNet the build-out and support of Opticare's wide area
network consisting of their main site and their 18 remote locations.
The offices are networked together via a fully supported frame relay
network. ChimeNet is Opitcare's primary ISP and also provides managed
VPN services across their network.
Advanced Medical Imaging awards
WAN contract to ChimeNet
Advanced Medical Imaging of Northwest Connecticut, headquartered
in Torrington, Ct, recently awarded the contract for their Wide
Area Network (WAN) to ChimeNet. AMI's five locations throughout
Connecticut are securely connected to each other over ChimeNet's
private data network. Some of the services being provided are Point-to-Point
T1 lines, Frame relay lines, Business class ADSL and data network
security services - such as site to site managed VPNs. AMI has also
awarded ChimeNet the contract for ir ISP (internet) services and
secure VPN connectivity to AMI's trading partners.
